Hair Does Matter

Today Allen Iverson is not longer in the NBA. He gave the fans years of great memories to last a life time and I thank that brother from Va for his heart and desire to be the very best when he stepped on the court. Best wishes to you and your family. If he had cut his hair he could still have a job, that also applies to the regular folks too. It is our culture you see, that is under attack in all area of our lives. We are being made into what we are not. Carmelo A. cut his off, he said so he could sit in the office of his oppressor. I am just sharing my thoughts I could be wrong or I could be right what do you think?

Black Folks Guide to Making Big Money on the Internet

http://make-money-online-daily.net/blackfolksguide/?e=InTheSpirit

"Man improves himself as he follows his path; is he stands still, waiting to improve before he makes a decision, he'll never move." -Paulo Coelho

Born August 17, 1887. In the 1920's the organization he founded had over 10 million dues paying members all over the world, it was the largest Black membership organization in our story. The UNIA-ACL was able to Build Black Businesses like stores, factories, farms, professional businesses, schools, and even purchase BIG Ships, not to take Blacks to Africa, like we where taught to believe, but so that we could build our own global economic infrastructure, in order to take care of your own. The UNIA-ACL membership grow without the use of the Internet, TV, or cell phones, the organization used its own newspaper to reach millions, even though it was band in some countries. Marcus Mosiah Garvey's vision was for us to become a free and self-determining people by teaching knowledge of self, do for self and love for self. Can we do greater things? I say YES WE CAN! The Black Business Builder Club (BBBC) is a Great place to start. You are officially invited to join this movement. Tell me what are you waiting for? Ask me how you can or you can follow my link here.

New Movie

Looks like the Tulia movie is slowly moving forward, but here's another that comes out April 17, 2009

American Violet

Director: Tim Disney
Writer: Bill Haney

Cast: Alfre Woodard, Michael O’Keefe, Tim Blake Nelson, Will Patton, Charles S. Dutton, Xzibit, Nicole Beharie

Plot: Based on real events and set in a small Texas town in the midst of the 2000 Bush/Gore Presidential election, "American Violet" tells the astonishing story of Dee Roberts, a 24 year old African-American single mother of four who is wrongfully swept up in a drug raid. Despite the urgings of her mother, and with her freedom and the custody of her children at stake, she chooses to fight the powerful district attorney and the unyielding criminal justice system he represents.

The film is based on the true story of Regina Kelly, who lived in Hearne, TX, the town where she was falsely accused of felony drug-trafficking charges based on the uncorroborated testimony of a single informant.

Kelly successfully fought the charges with the help of the ACLU. Her case resulted in changes to Texas law.
